Positive Thinking Good Energy Bring Us Firewood And Help

Word Of Mouth To Get Firewood

Hello There, VivBounty here with the rest of our first order of firewood story. This really is a story about the energy you put out in the world. I believe that thoughts become things. We were running out of firewood and none of our friends could get us any so late in the season. See the first part of the firewood story hub. I kept my thoughts positive and imagined having the firewood before the weather turned too cold. My hubby and I always treat everyone with kindness regardless of their station in life or their own behavior.

We were having brunch in the local diner where we had first met many of the villagers when we bought our home here a few years ago. As people we knew couldn't get into their treed lot to their dry log supply through the soggy ground we thought we go back to the hub of the village, the diner and ask around. This is how things work in rural areas like ours. It is word of mouth that gets your business publicized or your needs met.

The lady who owns the diner had always been kind to us, introducing us to other patrons saying we were the nice people who had bought the house by the mill. I had complete faith that by the end of this day we would have wood. The patrons in the diner responded kindly when asked if they knew where we could buy some wood. Had we come into the village with an unfriendly attitude, I don't think seeming strangers would be so likely to help us. Unanimously they agreed our best bet would be the guy with a trailer of wood parked outside our nearest shopping centre about 50 km away. No one seemed to have full name for this man's business or knew whether Matthew was his first or last name.

Being Open To Signs From The Universe

As we were driving up and down the main drag looking for this man with a trailer of firewood, we saw a large sign for cat litter for sale. Now I believe the the Universe is constantly giving us signs along our life's path. I also happen to believe that our cat, Scampy senses my energy and reacts to it. She is even a messenger when I need a sign.

Scampy had been unhappy with her litter, gnawing gently between her toes each time she emerged from it and launching herself at us more than her usual nightly hunting practice so we pulled in to the feed shop where the litter sale sign was. As it happened our dog was also out of treats and those were on sale as well.

At the checkout we asked the cashier about this illusive man with a trailer of wood for sale. Well it seems we had been drawn by the signs to this shop. The two men hovering nearby were founts of information like a phone book of first names of guys with tree lots in the area.

In these parts folks just know each other so they paused to notice our blank faces. My husband asked them if they could give us a bit of paper so we could write some names down. One of them pulled out a directory and wrote down names and phone numbers of two people pointing out the one closest to our village and most likely to deliver. Well it seemed my meditation and positive thinking were getting us somewhere. I kept believing we would have wood by the end of this day and signs had lead us to a place which was the second step to make this happen.

Believing Paid Off and Wood Arrived

With the cost of oil for our furnace we would be paying a fortune to heat our home if we could not get wood soon. We headed home, phoned the nearest chap with my hubby's fingers crossed and me visualizing the wood pile being in our shed.

The fellow with a wood lot not only had some wood which was dry, ready to burn, gave us a great price, but delivered the first cord that very night! Tipping as much as he could into the wood shed, the rest tumbled out onto the lawn in front. I had visualized a wood pile from ones we had seen on our country drives, but had no idea what a huge pile of wood a cord makes. Still, I was glad my belief and visualization had manifested in this beautiful sight. Now we just had to figure out how we were going to get that wood stacked in the shed with our various shoulder, back and heart ailments.

Now To Put The Logs In The Shed

Be A Good Friend and Neighbour

As our shed is not wired for electricity, my husband had to pull the car up to the shed with the lights on to begin throwing the logs into the shed. It was freezing outside and he who is the furthest thing from a lumberjack was flinging wood while I cooked supper worrying as I watched through the kitchen window.

The phone rang, I answered it irritatingly to hear my friend's voice very stressed, saying she wished she had an axe so she could go out and cut a tree down to vent her frustration. We do vent to each other and I run over with chicken soup when her elderly mother is ill so it sure helps to know that old saying, "A friend in need is a friend indeed" to be very true. After she vented a while, I said "Well if it's manual labor you seek, you have phoned the right place". I explained that I worried about my hubby's angina out there in the cold and this being his first firewood order he might overdo it.
Being the great friend and neighbor she is, she jumped at the S.O.S., rounded her kids up, 11 and 13 years old and they were over to help in five minutes. Together these good Samaritans helped my hubby put all the logs in the shed so that he could close the doors. In turn we served hot drinks, I mended a tear in her daughter's winter coat, we rationalized about the various stresses in our lives and everyone left happy agreeing to do it again soon. So you see, being a good friend and neighbor not only helps your heart feel good, it can bring you help when you need it and help your hubby's heart condition too.

Trading Services If You Can't Afford Laborers

They were true their word and when the second half of the firewood order arrived, my friend and her children came over bright and early the next morning and helped us put it away too.
We had a few logs remaining from the previous owner whose wood stove was larger than ours, which were too long. Now as this was the worst time of year for us financially, all annual bills coming due on the home and car, there was no extra cash to buy a chain saw or hire someone with one to cut the wood to fit our stove.

Fortunately, we are quite savvy with our computers. In our little village folks help each other do things according to our diverse talents. Our friends and neighbors in the opposite direction happened to get a laptop for Christmas and had no idea how to set it up. He happens to be very handy with his chainsaw and can do most things D.I.Y. around the home. So in exchange for us helping set up their laptop and hooking them up to the Internet, he came over and cut the long logs to fit in our smaller stove. Everyone has something that they are good at or can do. You never know when you meet someone what they might know or be good at that you are not and vice verse. We honor all who cross our path in life as we always know we were drawn to each other for a purpose in a divine way even if that purpose does not become apparent for some time down the road.

So you see, not only did we find firewood, the universe brought it to us in time, with help to stack it, and cut the remaining large logs to fit in our wood stove. Giving good energy out, believing that we would get firewood in time, meditating and visualizing on what we wanted brought us exactly what we needed without any extra effort or cost. Thoughts really are things and if you are open to it, the universe will give you signs to point you in the direction of that which you will eventually manifest.

Prosperous Blessings,
