Where Can You Take a Course in Blogging Online?

Hello, VivBounty here reporting on the next phase of building a blog.

We in the LGT Conference room this week have had an absolute blast. I am completely astounded at what I’ve learned in the space of 4 days. I have loved this blog from its inception because it has provided me with a forum for my inspirational writing; something I believe I was born to do. As a bonus this is a marketing tool to draw traffic to my business enabling me to earn my living online working from home

In my first blogging class back at the end of October 2008 we learned to create a blog and how to choose settings within the blogger dashboard which would optimise our search engine rankings, protect our privacy, control comments, add widgets which all come together to jazz up your blog with your unique style to eventually look just the way you want it to drawing the kind of people you want to do business with.

Well if that wasn’t enough to get us bloggers all excited about the possibilities as we embark upon branding ourselves, building our presence and driving traffic to our affiliate programs, little did we know that this next course in blogging was going to knock our socks off!

For those who have joined Lead Generating Tools since the last blogging class, our wonderful instructor, a.k.a. blogging queen, TrudyVan, began with the basics again. She guided students who hadn’t already done so to build their first blog. This was a great refresher for me as it became evident that in my excitement the first time around I had missed some of the settings, like allowing comments and how to control them. After all, someone once said the average person only remembers 25% of what they hear the first time. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Now in all fairness to me, since our last course in blogging, Google has added new widgets and settings, which were not available last fall.

In this new session, we have learned to add a Digg button to our blogs. Digg is a program, which can best be described as Social Bookmarking. Digg is a place for people to discover and share content across the web, from the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog. Every article submitted to Digg has a count of how many Diggs the story has received. You need to be signed-in to Digg a story. For every registered user that clicks "Digg it" the count goes up one. If a story reaches the tipping point, then it gets promoted to the homepage.

The power of Digg is phenomenal as we experienced on just a small scale with the members in the classroom this week. After joining the Digg network and adding each other as friends, we added a Digg button to our entire blog and then we added a Digg button to a particular post within the blog. The first button raises the visibility of your blog, the second button is particularly useful when you are promoting affiliate programs, which you want to draw traffic to. As your friends and associates in your network Digg your blog and your posts, others in the Digg network see that your articles have been Dugg which hopefully makes them curious enough to read what you have to say and if they like it, they Digg it causing a viral effect of recommendation and visibility bringing you tons and tons of traffic to your product or opportunity.

I just know that you’ll be sorry if you don’t come and check out our training schedule at LGT. Be sure to tell them when you enter the room that VivBounty sent you.

Until next time, this is VivBounty inspiring you to build your own bounty your way!
Prosperous Blessings,

How To Shine in 2009!

Hello. VivBounty here with my kick-start to the New Year.

I had so many plans over the holidays to get organized so that I would be ready to kick my advertising into overdrive. The state of the economy worldwide being what it is, this is the best time to build your online business and beat the credit crunch.

Well the Christmas and New Year’s Eve festivities came and they were lovely but I didn’t get nearly as much done as I’d hoped. My to-do list was a tad over the top and after all, the holidays are for spending more time enjoying with family and friends so I did just that.

Fortunately, I have taken my tutelage well in life and over my dozen-or-so years online and after many mistakes and a process of elimination, managed to put much of it into practice. I now know that if something on my to-do list does not get accomplished, it’s not the end of the world. I’m also quite proficient at multi-tasking, although, it is said there is no such thing as multitasking; you do one thing and then you do the next thing. We could argue this point until the cows come home, but I digress, so suffice it to say that I managed to complete a good many tasks maybe not simultaneously but over a relatively short period of time by arranging them effectively. Let me clarify; while I was watching lovely holiday movies with my husband, I had my laptop putting my log-ins for my various online programs into a file to be safely stored on CD/external hard drive, etc. Gone are the 3x5 index cards! While attending meetings in our conference rooms online after the holidays (remember that unfinished to-do list), at a lull in the presentation or whilst the trainer may have been helping someone over a hurdle I have already cleared, listening all the while, I opened other windows and organized my files into more appropriately named folders for easier and quicker access.

I have learned the hard way that you have to pick a business and focus on it. If you’re a program jumper and you’re scattered, you’ll never be able to focus enough on any one of those programs to make it successful. Having scattered energy makes for a cluttered environment, which in turn makes for a cluttered mind. Now that I have all my files and log-ins where I can find them, I can concentrate on consistent, ongoing, effective advertising and list-building so that when my prospects come into my auto-responder, I can show them, just like I learned how to build their bounty from the ground up the correct way.

Lead Generating Tools is my base of operations where I can earn money while building my own business, learning to brand myself, in a company, which doesn’t believe in making you spend unnecessary money. The live trainers teach, give of themselves, train, inspire, encourage and never leave anyone behind allowing each member to learn at their own pace from “newbie” to experienced marketer. You see not only is Lead Generating Tools an very lucrative affiliate program in and of itself, but it is also a growing Network consisting of many websites across which my business is advertised to thousands of prospects daily.

The first week’s training has been on e-commerce; yes I found all the files I had downloaded which I needed for class. Now that I’m focused, it’s easier to know where to look. We learned to put a product in our shopping cart and load it up on to our web site. Next week we are going to continue our blogging class, but there’s so much more it’s just easier to show you the training schedule here so you can see how much free training we have and how much LGT consistently over-delivers.

In addition to the digital exposure, our first “Boost Your Biz” conference for members of SocialBrats and their guests to come and “show their wares” so-to-speak was a roaring success! In this live conference setting you can post a link or two in the text and take the microphone to give a short 5-10 minute talk on your opportunity in a setting where the folks who are advertising and the guests or prospects can actually meet! Who’da thunk it, eh? In this online world where you don’t know where a link is taking you or whom you’re getting into business with, how cool is that?

Finally it’s important to do your due diligence before you join a program and make sure that guru you’re following can actually put their money where their mouth is and is not just a consistent program starter, here today, grabbing your membership fee and gone tomorrow. Go to a couple of meetings and get to know the admin of the business before you join. Make sure you know the program will still be around for years to come like Fortune5Minutes so that after you get active and bring tons of people in, you will be rich, not someone else. Ask questions and find out if this is a product or program you really want to get into and can believe in. In my business, F5M Millionaires Club, meetings we are given surprise bonuses like upgrades or paid advertising on the spur of the moment or paid memberships for your guests, and the like; bonuses which have real value and could go a long way to catapulting your business, so if you miss a meeting, you could really be short-changing yourself! If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a comment.

Until next time, this is VivBounty encouraging you to manifest your bounty your way. Like someone in the LGT training room said, "Shine in 2009"!
Prosperous Blessings,

'Tis The Season

Hi there! VivBounty here with my year-end message of hope and peace.

At this time of year, whatever your tradition, culture or practice, there seems to be a sense of peace and goodwill toward others. There is a reason for the timing chosen by the myriad of charities around the world to kick their fund-raising campaigns into high gear.

The season seems to foster charity, which it has been said, begins at home. I believe that each soul who crosses our path, friend or foe, no matter what their station in life, has a message for us, it maybe small, it may be huge, but it is always a lesson we need and have drawn to ourselves. It would be nice if as we are rushing about our daily lives, going through our to-do list, we remember to be kinder than necessary as everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

There is also a universal theme of inner reflection, connection to one’s faith or belief which many use to take stock, do some soul searching and realize how very fortunate we are. The fact is that there is always someone, somewhere less fortunate than ourselves.

In that vein, some of my LGT colleagues are involved in some wonderful charities. My friend Fisherman is associated with a wonderful young man who is trying to make his country a better place and has started a social networking group to spread the word. He also has a link to help this young man help the children in his country. My friend TrudyVan’s passion is finding missing children in her country. Over the years I have been involved in sponsoring several children in the 3rd world through World Vision and later sponsoring women surviving war, rebuilding their lives and supporting their families through Women For Women. Currently, my focus is on Canadian Harambee Education Society, a wonderful organization which starts by providing scholarships to Kenyan and Tanzanian girls who qualify for Secondary School placements, but who need financial assistance in order to attend and then goes on to make sure they succeed through their schooling and on into life. These wonderful charities are but a few, but work tirelessly year round to help those less fortunate. I commend and support their effort wholeheartedly.

The festive season is also when most traditions gather with family to celebrate, among other things, the fact that you have a family when so many are lonely. It’s a time to top up ones love tank for the times you may be away from your loved ones, so that you can draw on those wonderful memories as fuel to keep you going until you’re together again.

In our case, the closest relatives are a minimum of 1,000 miles away and the furthest relatives are almost 9,000 miles away. Nonetheless, we had a fantastic Christmas day with lots of wonderful food and drink while connecting with our many relatives around the globe. Thanks to the advent of wireless technology, the Internet and good old telephones, we didn’t skip a beat. We saw some on the web cam, exchanged beautifully animated e-mail with others, spoke with many on the phone and finally shared lovely SMS greetings on the cell phone. The point was that we were all together in spirit and heart regardless of geography.

To my online family, you know who you are; from our home to yours, I hope you have a blessed and joyous holiday season and may the bounty you manifest in 2009 be all that you dreamed of and so much more.
Prosperous Blessings,
VivBounty

Thankful For My Bounty

It is now the week after the US Thanksgiving holiday and I wanted to express my gratitude for my bounty.

There were no training classes over the holiday week so that everyone could spend time with their families. I really missed the camaraderie of training with a team of like-minded marketers.

This was however, the designated time in the year to be thankful for my many blessings. I am fortunate to be manifesting the life I've always wanted to have. Working from home has been my fondest wish for over a decade now and I am profoundly grateful to have been given the opportunity to be doing just that.

In my early days on the Internet I fell prey to all the professional "newbie hunters", as I call them joining every hyped-up, get-rich-quick scheme that appeared in my e-mail In Box. Needless to say I lost my shirt and wore myself out trying to build a home business evenings and weekends while working a full-time day job. I am however grateful for that lesson because like all life lessons, the experience and the time spent is what I call my process of elimination. I have learned as I go through life what I do not want and consequently make different choices when reaching the next fork in the road.

For many years I traveled extensively living abroad for periods of 6 months to 4 years at a time. While this was very exciting and made for great adventure, it meant being away from the people I love most for a long time. When I was living within visiting reach of my family, I worked a full-time job outside the home. The thing that sticks out in my mind about my family visits is that I was always having to leave them in my home early in the morning and not returning from work until supper time. Yes there were times when I worked close enough to dash home for lunch with Mum and sisters while they visited me, sometimes for about 3 weeks, but we still only had 2 full weekends and evenings together in that time. I loved it when they came to spend time with me but it seemed we were always rushing about to fit everything we wanted to do in the short time we had together.

As I get older, I am increasingly aware of how precious life is and how very, very fortunate I am to have my family, even though they now live a mere thousand miles away. My mum is my inspiration and the driving force behind my desire to be the best me that I can be. I have her voice in my head all the time saying how proud she is of me and that is what keeps me striving, reaching and never giving up. I wrote a little toast to Mum a few years back when she retired which just scratched the surface of mine and my sisters' love and admiration for her as the guiding force in our lives.

Shortly before Thanksgiving my mum and one sister visited for a fortnight. We had a lovely time and a much different visit than previous ones because I am fortunate enough to work from home. We were in the midst of the article site building course at Lead Generating Tools but I was able to attend class while my family rested, prepare and share 3 relaxing meals a day with them, take them out sightseeing and best of all top up our love tanks with the bonding that so many of my friends no longer have. My trainers at LGT were so supportive and understanding of my time with my family as one of them takes care of her elderly mum, and another no longer has her mum. Still another online friend, Bryan sadly lost his mum just before mine came to visit and I felt so very sad for him as it was sudden. He however, returned from that sad trip and wrote the most wonderfully inspiring e-mail to his online "family" which I have included here with his permission.

I am so very grateful for all my experiences, positive and not so positive on the Internet and in life, as all of them have led me to exactly where I'm supposed to be right now. By that I mean, in the right home, in the right country, with the right dog, but most of all, married to my soul mate without whom I would not be able to do what I do, and within the safety of whose unconditional love I am free to be all that I AM.

Click here to recognize your own bounty!

May you all feel as blessed as I do this Thanksgiving and always!
Prosperous Blessings,
VivBounty
